The 2010 BOMA-Atlanta Sports Outing
The sun rises on Chateau Elan
On Friday, Oct. 1, BOMA-Atlanta had its annual Sports Outing at the Chateau Elan golf course. As the new communications coordinator for BOMA-Atlanta, I had the opportunity to witness this great Atlanta commercial real estate tradition.

Selling out the event were more than 280 golfers and more than 30 tennis players gathered for the recreational and networking opportunities. Forty-eight sponsor companies supported this event and received great access and exposure for their business. Behind the scenes and on the ‘front lines’, 30 volunteers put their time and energy into making the 2010 Sports Outing an enjoyable event for both players and sponsors.

It was a great day; not only for sports and networking, but the weather was just right. The day started with a crisp chill in the air that melted into a sunny, cool afternoon with clear skies. The sunny mood spilled over onto the golf course and tennis courts manifesting as compliments, encouragements and laughs.
The Sports Outing has been a long tradition at BOMA-Atlanta, and with the opportunities that is provides BOMA members, I see it continuing to be a success in the future. This was my first BOMA-Atlanta Sports Outing, and I sure hope it is not my last.
